In shipping we deal with, among other matters, Contracts of Carriage, Bills of Lading, Charterparties, Shipbuilding Contracts, Sale and Purchase Agreements, Registration, Cargo Insurance, Salvage, General Average and Cargo Claims. Big part of our work is representing our biggest client, Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands (EIMSKIP), in Icelandic Courts and advising them on all matters in relation to shipping. Through the years we have also assisted both Icelandic and international shipping and fishing companies as well as P&I Clubs, insurance companies and individuals on shipping issues.

- Advisers to Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands (EIMSKIP) and The Shipowners´ Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association on various cargo claims, including representing those companies in all shipping cases before Icelandic Courts.
- Advisers to Dregg Shipping ehf. regarding stranding of “AXEL” off Iceland in November 2007.
- Advisers to Skeljungur hf. (SHELL Iceland) regarding Contract of Carriage issues and dispute in regards to carriage of bitumen from August 2007.
- Advisers to Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands (EIMSKIP) regarding Contract of Carriage with ALCOA in September to November 2007.
- Advisers to Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands (EIMSKIP) regarding Salvage, General Average and other related Time Charter matters in connection with an incident on board “ELINE” off Denmark in July 2007.
- Advisers to Hraðfrystihús Hellisands hf. regarding the purchase of the fishing vessel “Vestkapp” in June 2007.
- Advisers to the Treasury of the Republic of Iceland and the Icelandic Coast Guard regarding the shipbuilding of a new Coast Guard Vessel in December 2006 and January 2007.
- Advisers to Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands (EIMSKIP) regarding settlement of Salvage and General Average in connection with incident on board “DETTIFOSS” off Iceland in January 2005.
