Article on dawn raids in Vidskiptabladid by Halldor Brynjar Halldorsson

On 6 December, Vidskiptabladid (the Icelandic equivalent of the Financial Times) published an article by Halldor Brynjar Halldorsson Senior Associate at LOGOS, titled “Botched dawn raids?”, where he discusses the options that businesses have if they believe they have been infringed on by the local authorities, comparing the execution of dawn raids in Iceland to those in other countries and the requirements of the European Court of Human Rights.

Halldor’s conclusion is that there is at least significant doubt as to whether Icelandic businesses that have been subjected to dawn raids have access to realistic and sufficient legal resources during investigations, if they feel they have been infringed upon.
