First North – the next step
For the second year in a row, LOGOS, along with the New Business Venture Fund, KMPG and Kvika Bank, are working in collaboration with Nasdaq in Iceland on their project „First North – the next step.“ The project is a course for board members of strong and promising companies in preparing the internal structure of their companies for growth and introducing them to the procedure of entering the market. The course is free of charge and without commitment. This year, participants in the project come from 14 companies.
LOGOS’ contribution to the project revolves around reviewing legal issues in connection with the proposed registration, such as any necessary changes to Articles of Association, company forms, internal structures, conduct and preparation of due diligence and the responsibilities of board members among other factors required for registration into First North.
This week, LOGOS was visited by a group of board members from growing companies who are considering registering into the First North market. LOGOS’ presentation emphasised the importance of good preparation and the value of a good internal structure and procedures to ensure a good flow of information to investors, as well as the importance of adhering to regulations. The presentation was delivered by Attorneys at Law Ólafur Arinbjörn Sigurðsson and Freyr Snæbjörnsson, who are regular counsels to registered companies and investors in relation to the stock market.
