LOGOS announces the promotion of three new partners with effect from 1 January 2017. Mrs Áslaug Björgvinsdóttir is based in the Reykjavik office and Mrs Anna Huxster and Mrs Claire Broomhead are new partners in the London office. Each brings a different blend of talent, expertise and experience to the partnership which will further strengthen the position of LOGOS as the leading law firm in Iceland with a strong team in its London office.
Áslaug Björgvinsdóttir is a qualified Icelandic lawyer and specialises in Information Technology Law, including Data Protection and e-commerce, as well as Intellectual Property Law. Áslaug has extensive experience in advising both domestic and foreign clients, both in commercial negotiations and dispute resolution.
Áslaug received her M.L. from Reykjavik University in 2007 and a post-graduate degree in European Intellectual Property Law from the University of Stockholm in 2012. She qualified as an Icelandic district court attorney in 2008. Áslaug is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (IAPP qualification).
Claire Broomhead is a Solicitor in England & Wales and specialises in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring and general corporate advisory. She has over 15 years of experience and has held the pen and coordinated some of the largest transactions the firm has managed in the last few years. She was previously with Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney and Eversheds in Leeds.
Claire studied law at the University of Manchester and College of Law in Chester.
Anna Huxster is a Solicitor in England & Wales and specialises in international and domestic commercial litigation and arbitration. She trained at Lawrence Graham LLP, qualifying in 2007, before joining LOGOS in 2011. She has worked on a wide range of large cross-border contentious matters in the last few years for a varied range of clients, both Icelandic and non-Icelandic.
Anna studied chemistry at the University of Bristol before graduating from BBP Law School in 2004.
